About

My name is Vicktoria Blake.

I have been reducing my footprint significantly over the past few years and in the past twelve months I have put out only two council rubbish bags of landfill waste, and this is reducing all the the time. Zero Waste is my goal. I am not quite there yet…a work in progress.

I live in the beautiful Whangarei Heads, New Zealand, with my 10 year old son. I work as an educator at the local polytechnic and am currently completing my Master of Environmental Management through Massey University – hence the obvious time I have available to blog…

Study points of interest to me are consumerism, minimalism, waste minimisation, e-waste, consumer behaviours, environmental policy, and much much more.

I make a mean kombucha, cook from scratch as much as I can, am currently practicing yoga and meditation as often as possible, and am an avid music lover.

It is likely this blog will discuss various topics on various things. But know one thing…it will all come from a place of love and respect for our planet and the people that live upon it.

I look forward to continuing this learning journey, and hope to be able to impart some of my knowledge with you over the coming weeks, months and years. Welcome.

Namaste.
